Fall 2018 Visiting Artist Colloquium: Christy Matson

Christy Matson is a textile artist from Los Angeles. Each of her pieces begin as agile drawings and watercolors and are materialized through a Jacquard loom into a colorful weaving that, at once, evokes idealized geometry and the enchantment of ancient textiles.

Discover the latest developments in fine arts, craft, and design at our free public lectures by some of the most prominent artists, critics, and gallery and museum directors. The Visiting Artist Colloquium is held every Wednesday during the academic year, and is free and open to the public.
