There's still time: Contribute to 2013 Partners in Giving campaign

March 02, 2014

Thank you to everyone who has made a gift--every gift counts, and to date, the Partners in Giving campaign total stands at $2,578,711.
This is certainly a significant contribution to our community, but our University campaign is $31,000 behind last year’s final numbers. Here in the School of Education in 2012, we had 148 donors with a total of $49,450 in contributions. This year we have had 127 donors with a total of $47,125 in contributions.

$2,500 in additional contributions will push us over last year’s total!

You can still contribute to the 2013 campaign through March 2014. Gifts can submitted online via credit card through the campaign’s website (

If you haven’t made a gift, please consider doing so now. Maybe you have been doing your 2013 tax return and you have noticed that additional charitable contributions will have a positive impact on your future tax returns. A contribution to the campaign today will be attributed to the 2013 campaign, and you can claim the tax deduction in 2014.

Every gift will help our campaign and more importantly, our community.

Many thanks to our Partners in Giving department and unit chairs. Likewise, thank you to Leslie Lang and Tammi Pekkala-Matthews for organizing our on-line silent auction which raised approximately $400! In our drawing for the campus incentive prizes, we extend congratulations to Bill Hoyt, winner of UW Athletic tickets and a basketball signed by our Women’s Basketball coach, Bobbie Kelsey, and to Mark Schroeder, winner of a gift assortment from the Art’s Institute.

If any department or unit realizes a contribution(s) in the next month, Associate Dean Amos-Landgraf will deliver some special treats for you all to share. There is still time to give and to make a difference for your community.
