Two campus-wide award opportunities with a March 1 deadline are quickly approaching.

One is the 4W Innovation Award for faculty and academic staff, while another is the 4W Engagement Grants for Emerging Scholars for graduate and professional students. Both awards provide flexible support for projects that link research to practice in order to enhance gender equity and wellbeing.

These awards are funded with the support of Wisconsin’s Women’s Philanthropy Council.

The 4W Innovation Award is intended as general support that can be used toward summer salary, course buy out or other arrangement with a school or department. This award allows or academic staff member to devote time to develop a key initiative related to women and wellbeing and aligned with the vision and core values of the 4W program. Applications are open to all faculty and academic staff. Programs should enhance gender equity in communities (locally or globally) and have a research-to-action focus. Preference will be given to projects that also provide benefits to faculty and/or students in the campus community. 4W anticipates making up to two awards of $5,000 to $7,500 each. Awardees will be celebrated at the 4W Annual Summit. The 4W Innovation award is made possible by the generosity of the Women’s Philanthropy Council.
