on Early Childhood Intervention last month in Antalya,
Turkey.
Bal presented culturally responsive, school-wide behavioral intervention and support models to educators, psychologists, rehabilitation counselors, social workers, physiotherapists and researchers.

Bal also presented his research on the implementation of Learning Labs in Wisconsin to facilitate equity-oriented partnerships between schools, communities and universities for systemic transformation.

The Learning Lab is a problem-solving process through which students, families, educators, policy makers and community members design culturally responsive systems to address disparities in educational opportunities and outcomes. The process is especially designed for those who have been historically excluded from schools’ decision making activities.
