Mary Gibb

Mary Hopkins Gibb graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1955. Mary was part of the very first class that graduated with a degree in elementary education. Her late husband, Bill, also attended UW and received his undergraduate degree in business in 1953 and his law degree in 1957. Mary enjoyed a fulfilling career as an elementary teacher and actively volunteered at local schools in her community. Mary resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Why she participated: I was given the chance to get an excellent education at Wisconsin. I would like to give a student today the same chance.
