Sahian Cruz

Credentials: WCER PhD

Sahian Cruz earned a PhD in School Psychology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She hails from eastern Washington, where she grew up in the microcosm of the orchard in which her family worked. Sahian graduated from the University of Washington in 2020, where she studied psychology and French. Her current research focuses on models of family-school-community partnerships with a Liberation Psychology lens. Sahian’s research interests include Latinx adolescent mental health, culturally-centering family engagement in schools, decolonized intervention practices, and Liberation Psychology. Sahian is currently an intern at the Connections Internship Consortium in Palatine, IL.
