Devin Henry
Credentials: Ed-GRS Fellow

Devin T. Henry is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Adult Education, both from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Devin’s research focuses on the persistence and institutional retention of Black male students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). His work examines how culturally responsive leadership practices, institutional climate, and student engagement strategies influence academic outcomes for Black men. Devin is particularly interested in the intersectionality of race, gender, and educational equity in postsecondary settings. He aims to use his research to help schools and colleges improve how they support students from historically marginalized backgrounds, making it more likely for them to graduate.
