Anna is an interdisciplinary artist and educator, who was born, raised and still lives in the East Village of New York City. She is Colombian/Midwest Norwegian.
Anna received her BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art in New York City, with a focus on printmaking and photography. And after many years and much careful consideration, has decided to pursue her masters degree and will be attending UW Madisons MFA program in Fall 2025 as an Ed-GRS fellow.
For the past 10 years Anna has worked at the Cooper Union as a sculpture/fabrication shop technician and for the past 6 years as an Adjunct Instructor, for both the schools or Art and Architecture.
Anna’s path through life has been unconventional, and while she’s taken a long route through higher learning, it’s her unconventional choices and experiences that have shaped her work and creative vision.
