Bolstered by the office of Professional Learning and Community Education, a team dedicated to enhancing the lives of all members of our community, we seek to make a difference beyond the classroom and campus.

Professional Learning and Community Education (PLACE)

PLACE ensures that the knowledge fostered within the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison has global impact. Using the expertise of faculty, staff, and community stakeholders, PLACE supports and develops professional and community learning programs in education, the arts and health.

Global Engagement Office

This office supports global connectedness — a cornerstone of the School of Education. Connections to students, scholars, colleagues, and organizations around the globe drive the ways we conceptualize and seek solutions to problems that we face locally, nationally, and globally.

Counseling Psychology Center

Counseling Psychology Training Clinic

The Counseling Psychology Training Clinic is a training facility for the Counseling Psychology graduate training programs within the Department of Counseling Psychology. The clinic offers high-quality, cost-efficient and multiculturally competent psychological and mental health services to students and residents of Madison and the surrounding areas.

Campus Art Gallery

School of Education Gallery

The School of Education Gallery’s purpose is to promote the three arts-based departments: Art, Theatre and Drama, and Dance. By creating an accessible and communal space, the School of Education Gallery highlights the research, projects, and exhibitions of alumni, faculty, staff, and undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Education.

Office of Child Care and Family Resources (OCCFR)

The Office of Child Care and Family Resources is the administrative home for a system of three campus child care centers and six network centers. Our centers serve over 800 children and employ over 200 early educators. Our role is to ensure excellence in the classroom for our youngest and to provide family support programming for their parents.

CCBC Library

Cooperative Children’s Book Center

CCBC is a vital gathering place for books, ideas, and expertise in children’s and young adult literature. It is a noncirculating examination, study, and research library for Wisconsin school and public librarians, teachers, early childhood care providers, university students, and others interested in children’s and young adult literature.

Testing and Assessment

Testing and Evaluation Services

Testing and Evaluation provides the UW–Madison campus and the University of Wisconsin System with services related to assessment and evaluation. Our office provides scanning services, scoring and statistical analysis of exams and evaluations, and administration of local and national standardized exams.
