The Office of Data and Analytics (ODA) at the School of Education supports data-driven decision-making by leading a coordinated, strategic approach to data management, reporting, and analytics.
The Strategic Role of the ODA
The School of Education established the Office of Data and Analytics to transform institutional data into a trusted, strategic asset. By standardizing information, the ODA empowers units, departments, and teams through the following functions:
- Evidence-based Decision Making: Executing reporting, validating analytics, and ensuring correct interpretation.
- Ensuring Data Integrity: Establishing governance protocols so that reporting — whether for internal planning or external accreditation — is accurate and consistent.
- Democratizing Access: Training and supporting users so data moves beyond data specialists and into everyday decision-making.
- Strategic Planning: Providing accurate metrics, predictive analytics, and integrated dashboards for enrollment, budgeting, and student success.
We work with our institutional campus partners and School of Education units and departments to produce high-quality, sustainable data analysis, insights, and reporting solutions.
Access to Institutional Reports
Repository of Administrative Data and Reports (RADAR) is UW–Madison’s one-stop central portal for exploring and locating administrative data and reports. (One must be on the campus network or logged into the campus VPN to access non-publicly available Tableau reports.)
If you need a customized report that isn’t available via Data, Academic Planning, & Institutional Research (DAPIR) or the Office of the Registrar please use the intake form. This form ensures your request gets the visibility and priority it deserves and ensures our team has the information it needs to support you in one place.
