Undergraduate Academic Advising

Academic and Career Advising During COVID-19

Students, we know that this is a stressful and unusual time, and our hearts go out to everyone affected. Your academic and career success is still our top priority and we are here to support you. For students planning on graduating in May, we will do everything in our power to ensure that you graduate on time.

Effective Monday, March 23, the School of Education academic and career advisors will be available for advising questions and appointments via email, video chat, and phone. All School of Education student services offices are operating remotely until campus resumes regular face-to-face operations. Below you will find ways to schedule and attend advising appointments. You can also find additional information about current advising services at UW-Madison by visiting Advising and Career Services During COVID-19.

We ask for your patience and flexibility as we all learn new ways to connect and communicate through this difficult time. Stay safe and well!

Scheduling an Advising Appointment During COVID-19

Starfish remains the most direct way to schedule an advising appointment for current students. When you schedule, you can choose if you would like your appointment to take place via video chat or over the phone. Your advisor will follow-up with appropriate instructions after you have made your appointment.

If you do not have access to the Starfish application, or if you have questions, you may call our reception desk at 608-262-1651 and leave a message, or email us at soeacademicservices@education.wisc.edu.

Voicemail messages and emails will be checked multiple times per day.
