Maame Adomako

Maame is the office’s inaugural Undergraduate Program Manager.  She oversees the College Access Program in Education(CAPE) and Summer Education Research Program (SERP) and works closely with the school’s Academic Services to implement exciting new initiatives.

Maame has been working with students in the Madison community since arriving in Madison for her graduate studies in 2013. She has held various roles in academic & career advising services, teaching, and diversity & inclusion. Her work has involved guiding underrepresented students across the educational pipeline by counseling and supporting students through transitioning and navigating the college experience. She is passionate about student development and creating inclusive spaces for students to thrive on college campuses.

Maame holds a BS in Psychology and Sociology from Central Michigan University. She graduated from the School of Education, receiving her MS and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at UW-Madison. She is an alumnus of the McNair Scholars Program, Summer Education Research Program, and Ed-GRS Fellowship at UW-Madison.
