Karina Flores-Camacho

Karina Flores is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants from Wapato, WA inside the Yakama Indian Reservation. She received her Bachelor’s in both Sociology and American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2018. Her research interest lies in rural education within Native American reservations and school leadership (preparation and capacity) and understanding the role of power and ideology in leader and teacher prep programs and how that carries into schools. Karina is also interested in looking at (re)building and strengthening relationships and trust between students, communities, and schools (teachers and school leadership).
