Yasmina Haddad

Yasmina Haddad is a Ph.D. student in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in Comparative International Education and Global Studies. She is interested in researching education for refugees in Colombia and Lebanon, her parents’ home countries. Prior to studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she earned a B.S. in Disability Studies (’17) and an M.Ed. in International Education Policy and Management (’21) from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College.

Yasmina was a conversational English teacher in India and Chicago after her undergraduate studies. Upon graduating with her master’s degree, she worked as a Research Associate in the International Development Division of the American Institutes for Research. In Yasmina’s free time, she obsesses over Top Chef and other food-related T.V. shows and likes to try new recipes whenever she can.
