Nicole M. Montañez-Alicea

Nicole Marie Montañez Alicea is a Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Kinesiology and forms part of Dr. Larson’s Lab for the Study of Occupation. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Nicole received a BA degree in Adapted and Elementary Physical Education at the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamón Campus. As part of her vision to provide better services and quality of life to individuals with disabilities, she became certified as a dance instructor and equine therapy assistant. Nicole’s research interests center on promoting well-being and healthy behaviors for individuals with disabilities and their families.
