London Huser
Credentials: Ed-GRS Fellow

London Huser is an Oklahoma native and indigenous Cherokee and Choctaw artist. Her practice explores aspects of southern, blue collar human culture and information, in a narrative and dialog driven context through an interplay of paintings and her unseen performance character, Randy. She is attracted to ideas of distilling, dissecting, examining, and archiving intrinsic data to embody the information of southern male identity. London integrates performance and audio elements into her paintings drawing from the nostalgia of her past and present interactions with these men. Ultimately, she asks greater questions of gender, poverty, and place in rural community.
