Steffenie Williams

Credentials: Ed-GRS Fellow

Steffenie Williams is a PhD graduate in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, Dr. Williams is on a Fulbright scholarship in Australia, studying play and play-based learning in Aboriginal Schools and Communities. Her research focuses on studying the importance of play and play-based learning in schools. Steffenie was a Computer & Technology teacher for students in grades 3k-8th and using a play-based/project-based curriculum with her students. She has been a kindergarten teacher, Reading teacher (6-8th), Reading Specialist (k-8th) and Reading Interventionist. Steffenie has served as a practicum & student teaching supervisor and as cooperating teacher for 42 students. She is finishing her Director of Instruction, Director of Student Services and Superintendent licenses in ELPA. In her spare time, Steffenie hikes, bikes, paddleboards, kayaks, skates, snowshoes and skis with her partner in crime, Tallulah – the 12 pound cockapoo!
