Apple is the John Bascom Professor Emeritus of Curriculum and Instruction, and Educational Policy Studies.

Apple also recently delivered the opening keynote address at the Conference on Democratic Education in Ankara, Turkey. His presentation was titled, “Building and Defending Democratic Schools.”

In addition, his book, “Teachers and Texts: A Political Economy of Class and Gender Relations in Education,” has recently been translated into Chinese and released.
