New kinesiology faculty member Jacob Meyer is interested in developing and testing behavioral interventions to treat mental health conditions, particularly depression. In particular, he’s exploring ways to integrate movement into mental health treatment and determine how physical activity actually changes mood at the molecular and mechanistic levels.

Li Chiao-Ping Dance (LCPD) has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $15,000. The grant will support Phase Two of the “Dirty Laundry” project, a multimedia dance theater work exploring the history of anti-Asian hate, discrimination, violence, and bias in the U.S.

This summer and fall, University Theatre will launch its 2024-25 season with the staging of Tony Kushner’s acclaimed two-part play, “Angels in America.” Widely regarded as one of the most important American plays of the last century, the two-part epic delves into the lives of a diverse group of Americans during the early days of the AIDS epidemic.
