The UW–Madison Dance Department and Li Chiao-Ping Dance will premiere a full production of the NEA-funded “Dirty Laundry: A Multimedia Dance Theater Work,” Feb. 6-8 in the Margaret H’Doubler Performance Space, Lathrop Hall.

A screendance work by UW–Madison’s Li Chiao-Ping was honored with several awards at the recent 2024 Chinatown International Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Li Chiao-Ping Dance (LCPD) has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $15,000. The grant will support Phase Two of the “Dirty Laundry” project, a multimedia dance theater work exploring the history of anti-Asian hate, discrimination, violence, and bias in the U.S.

The 14-credit program in Dance Education, which launches this fall, will provide students with specialized knowledge specific to the field, and prepare them for a variety of careers that involve teaching dance or integrating dance in the classroom.
