Dance Department’s annual student showcase, ‘The H’Doubler Concert,’ April 26-27

In addition to choreography work of the senior class, this concert will feature contemporary dance works of student choreographers Caroline Criste, Julianna Hom, Amanda Kolsch, Ellie McShane, Megan Schimke, Mariel Schneider, Brooke Schroeder, Bailey Seymour, Alice Svetic, and Kaitlin Verchimak.

The dances range from solo to group works, and will explore the capability to navigate through and beyond experiences that affect the body and mind. Some topics that will be examined include the balance between obsession and passion, power dynamics and struggles within a group, the expressions of toxic masculinity, the search for community and support, and the truths behind college stereotypes.

Performances will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, and at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Tickets can be purchased at the Campus Arts Box Office or online at $10 for students and seniors and $18 for general admission.

The Dance Department is housed in the School of Education.
