In a Q&A, Wisth, a senior majoring in community and organizational development with certificates in public policy, criminal justice, and theatre, shares how her academic and creative pursuits intersected during the production. She also reflects on the strong sense of community among the cast and crew.

“The environment was very collaborative. We could be kind, accepting, and silly together,” Wisth says. “It’s incredible how much happiness theatre allowed us to create in such a small amount of time.”

Encouraging other students to explore UW–Madison’s theatre program, Wisth stresses the welcoming and rewarding nature of getting involved.

“When you get into a show, you will genuinely end up with some great friends and you will feel encouraged and happy to be there. I promise!”
