Welcome to the School of Education! We’re excited that you’re interested in studying one of our programs—we’ve got a broad variety of graduate majors, minors, and certificates to support our students’ career goals and aspirations.
Our departments pride themselves on providing opportunities for our graduate students to work in-depth with world-renowned faculty and scholars. By visiting your desired program department’s website and the UW–Madison Guide, you can explore the people and areas you’ll be involved with as a student. Many departments host graduate student visit days, so be sure to contact your department for additional support.
Graduate admission is a two-step process between the School of Education academic degree programs and the Graduate School. Applicants must meet requirements of both the program and the Graduate School. Explore our graduate academic offerings and follow links to the Guide for specific admissions information.

"There are so many opportunities for graduate students here. Not just meeting new people for fun, but actually expanding and developing our own field of study while talking to people with different backgrounds."
