Noah W. Sobe earned his PhD in 2005 from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, with a minor from the Department of Educational Policy Studies (EPS). On March 25, he’ll be delivering a keynote presentation about this important work at the 2022 EPS Conference, “The Futures of Education.”

The university on Tuesday announced the extension of the UW–Madison School of Education Wisconsin Teacher Pledge, which pays the equivalent of in-state tuition and fees, testing, and licensing costs for all teacher education students. In return, graduates “pledge” to teach for three or four years at a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade school in Wisconsin.

Rosemary Russ, an associate professor in the School of Education's Department of Curriculum and Instruction, is one of 12 UW–Madison faculty members chosen to receive a Distinguished Teaching Award this year. These honors have been given out since 1953 and recognize the university’s finest educators.
