The American Educational Research Association’s (AERA) 2022 Annual Meeting is being held in San Diego April 21-26. And once again, faculty, staff, and students with the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) are being well-represented at this major event. According to information collected by the department, 31 sessions taking place during this year's conference will feature scholars from ELPA: including 24 students and seven faculty members.

Four Ho-Chunk graduate students at the UW–Madison are working to elevate the voices and experiences of Native American people, and to make academic and cultural spaces more accessible and beneficial to the Ho-Chunk community. Among them is Adrienne Thunder, who is pursuing her PhD in the School of Education's Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.

UW–Madison’s School of Education is also the only one in the nation to have a top-10 ranking in all nine education specialty areas — including the No. 1 Educational Psychology program.

UW–Madison alumnus Brett Nachman has accepted a tenure-track position as an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas, in its Adult and Lifelong Learning program in the College of Education and Health Professions. Nachman earned his PhD from the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2021.
