The Teachers College Record (TCR) is a journal of research, analysis, and commentary in the field of education. It has been published continuously since 1900 by Teachers College, Columbia University.

Editorial Advisory Board members provide essential advice and assistance to TCR editors, and are typically called upon to review four to six manuscripts per year in their areas of expertise. Board members are also asked to mentor a graduate student through the review process of at least one journal article per year, and editors rely on them to help identify new scholars and areas of scholarship that should be appearing in the journal.

“I’m honored to be joining TCR’s Editorial Advisory Board,” said Burt. “I’ve had amazing experiences with their editorial team and reviewers constructively challenging my thinking and my work, and I am a stronger scholar because of them. I’m delighted to now be in a position to give similar positive and developmental feedback to others submitting manuscripts.”

“I’m equally excited that my inclusion on the board means that I’ll have the opportunity to engage in intentional mentoring of emerging scholars,” Burt added.
