Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) researchers are partnering with Hmong American faculty and undergraduates across the state to study and find solutions for the underrepresentation in STEM classes and the STEM workforce of Hmong Americans, who make up Wisconsin’s largest Asian American population.

WBAY-TV / Ch. 2 in Green Bay utilized the expertise of UW–Madison’s Michael Apple for a report examining recent efforts to ban certain books from school libraries, or restrict access to them for younger students. Apple is the John Bascom Professor Emeritus of Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Policy Studies in the School of Education.

Evans, a PhD candidate in the Department of Educational Policy Studies; CJ Greer, a PhD student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis; and Marquel Norton, a PhD student in the Department of Counseling Psychology.
