UW–Madison is home to the fourth-ranked school of education in the nation — marking the eighth straight year it has been rated among the top five. In addition, U.S. News ranks nine education graduate specialty programs — and all nine housed within the UW–Madison School of Education are rated among the Top 10 nationally.

A research team from UW–Madison’s Culturally Responsive Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (CRPBIS), housed in the School of Education’s Wisconsin Center for Education Research, has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Spencer Foundation. The project, titled “Indigenous Learning Lab: Implementation of a culturally responsive behavioral support system to address the racialization of school discipline,” is led by Aydin Bal and Aaron Bird Bear.

UW–Madison’s Malachy Bishop and Stuart Rumrill have published a study in the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation that is titled, “The employment impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Americans with MS: Preliminary analysis," examining the effects of the pandemic on people with multiple sclerosis.

UW–Madison’s Kimber Wilkerson appeared on Wisconsin Public Radio’s "Central Time" to speak about UW–Madison's Special Education Teacher (UW-SET) residency program. Wilkerson is a professor with the School of Education’s Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education, and the director of the Teacher Education Center.
