UW–Madison’s Baron Kelly is a panelist in the international webinar, “The S Word: Stanislavsky and Gender,” co-hosted by the Stanislavsky Research Centre at the University of Leeds, and the School of Performing Arts, University of Malta. Kelly is a professor in the Department of Theatre and Drama, and also holds a concurrent appointment with the Odyssey Project in the Division of Continuing Studies.

UW–Madison’s Julie Mead is now serving as president of the Education Law Association (ELA), a role she started during the organization’s annual conference Oct. 20-23 in San Antonio, Texas. Mead is a professor emerita with the School of Education's Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.

Work by UW–Madison’s Li Chiao-Ping and her dance company, Li Chiao-Ping Dance (LCPD), will be presented at the upcoming 2021 a2ru National Conference, Sharing Stories: The Case for Art, on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 p.m. (central time). Li is the Sally Banes Professor of Dance and a Vilas Research Professor with the School of Education’s Dance Department.

A number of artists with connections to the UW–Madison Art Department, housed in the School of Education, are part of an exhibition exploring 60 years of Wisconsin glass art at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wisconsin. The exhibition, titled “The Studio Glass Movement: The Hyde Collection,” coincides with the International Year of Glass (2022) and MOWA’s 60th anniversary (2021).

the MSAN Consortium of multiracial school districts is moving its annual conference for high school students online this year, just as it did last fall for the first time because of the pandemic. As a result, organizers have been able to expand access to the program that kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 27, to more students, including younger ones.
