UW–Madison’s Thomas Popkewitz will be delivering a keynote speech at a symposium hosted by the Swedish Royal Academy in May. Popkewitz is an internationally recognized scholar who holds six honorary doctorates and was elected as a fellow to the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

Casey Fletcher's sculptures, drawings, prints, paintings, and video pieces often use historical accounts to illustrate how people in the past and present have pursued justice in the face of adversity. In an effort to provide visionary support and honor their parents’ lifelong dedication to education and counseling, Todd and Katie Pulvino established the first endowed department chair in the School of Education’s history. On Feb. 7, the School celebrated the Pulvinos’ $2 million gift with the investiture of Professor Mindi Thompson as the inaugural Charles and Carol Pulvino Chair in Counseling Psychology.
