Professor Chris Walker and alumna Shasparay Irvin of the UW–Madison School of Education will be spotlighted in three Badger Talks LIVE Quick Picks throughout the month of February.
Quick Picks are a new, short-form version of Badger Talk LIVE, featuring brief talks ranging from 10 to 15 minutes.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 12 p.m., Chris Walker, the director of UW–Madison’s Division of the Arts and a professor in the School of Education’s Dance Department, will present a talk that is titled, “The Arts for Everyone, Everywhere.”
Walker will also be featured with Gabrielle Javier-Cerulli of Wheelhouse Studios on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 12 p.m., for a talk that is titled, “Exploring Wellness and Belonging Through the Arts.”
On Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m., Shasparay Irvin, an alumna of the School of Education’s Department of Theatre and Drama, arts residency programs assistant, and founding artistic director of the Black Arts Matter Festival, will discuss “The Impact of Interdisciplinary Arts,” with writer, performer, and playwright Porsha Olayiwola, a spring 2023 Interdisciplinary Artist-in-Residence at UW–Madison.
