Corkery receives 2019 American Kinesiology Association National Master’s Scholar Award


UW-Madison student Adam Corkery was selected by the American Kinesiology Association (AKA) to receive the 2019 American Kinesiology Association National Master’s Scholar Award.

Corkery recently earned his master’s degree from the School of Education’s Department of Kinesiology this spring, while also working in the Barnes Lab. Corkery studies exercise physiology, having already published work on how exercise’s improvement to vascular function translates to the brain.

Corkery was selected from a pool of local, institutional nominees for this award, which recognizes distinguished leadership and academic records.
