The School of Education honored its Winter 2021 graduates during a Pre-Commencement Celebration Sunday morning, Dec. 19, at the Memorial Union’s Great Hall.
The celebration included a traditional Hooding Ceremony for PhD recipients, while students who received their master’s and undergraduate degrees also were recognized and congratulated by Dean Diana Hess.
To check out photos from the event — which featured about 50 graduates, plus family and friends, faculty, and staff — visit the School of Education’s Facebook page.
School of Education photographer Sarah Maughan captured photos during the program, while Jim Escalante, a professor emeritus with our Art Department, collected a range of great images at a photo booth.
We reached out to a few of our graduating students to learn what brought them to UW–Madison, their most meaningful experiences, and favorite places on campus. Read their stories here.
Congratulations and best of luck to all our December 2021 graduates. We are extremely proud of our students graduating from programs across the arts, health, and education. It’s now their time to lead and inspire communities and the world.
And remember graduates, you may no longer be a student — but you’ll always be a Badger!
