Bixler is UW–Madison’s spring 2021 Interdisciplinary Artist-in-Residence

UW–Madison's Division of the Arts welcomes Litza Bixler as the spring 2021 Interdisciplinary Artist-in-Residence. Bixler is a choreographer, filmmaker, movement director, visual artist, and writer. She has produced work on stage, screen, galleries, and mountains. Bixler works across the spheres of art, performance, and film, and has been a working artist and educator since 1995.

Art alumna Cohn featured in Corpus Callosum online journal

Corpus Callosum, an online arts journal produced by Ebling Library in the UW–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, released its second edition in December 2020, including work from School of Education alumna Holly Cohn.

UW–Madison’s Ahn presents typography series at CAA conference

UW–Madison’s Yeohyun Ahn will present “TYPE + CODE Series” at the College Art Association’s 109th annual conference on Thursday, Feb. 11. Ahn’s presentation is part of a session on “Design and the Environment.” Ahn is an assistant professor in the School of Education’s Art Department.

Li Chiao-Ping Dance to receive $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Li Chiao-Ping Dance (LCPD) has been awarded a $10,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant to support the creation of “Here Lies the Truth” — a new multimedia dance that addresses fact and fiction, and how they infiltrate the personal and political environments we experience. LCPD is led by Artistic Director Li Chiao-Ping, who is a Vilas Research Professor with the School of Education’s Dance Department.
