UW-Madison’s David Bell received the National Achievement Award for Athletic Trainers from the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society (PRiSM). Bell is a national leader in examining the risks associated with sports specialization and youth athletics. He is an associate professor with the Department of Kinesiology's athletic training program, and director of the Wisconsin Injury in Sport Laboratory (WISL).

UW-Madison’s Division of the Arts welcomes Ben Barson and Gizelxanath Rodriguez as the spring 2020 Interdisciplinary Artists-in-Residence. Both Barson and Roodriguez are musicians, artivists (artists and activists), environmentalists, and co-founders of the Afro Yaqui Music Collective.

Li-Chiao-Ping Dance (LCPD) is presenting "Dancing the Chazen," Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, the fourth and fifth events in the 2019-20 series "7DaysDancing" — a seven-part program of free, live art experiences aiming to activate community spaces in new, inventive, and inviting ways. This series features site-specific works utilizing the UW-Madison’s Chazen Museum of Art, meant to guide the audience through the museum while articulating the properties of spaces through the collaboration of bodies in place and motion. Li is a faculty member with the School of Education's Dance Department.
