UW–Madison’s Andrea Harris is the author of a new article that was published in Dance Research Journal, titled “Blanche Evan’s ‘Film Studies of the Dance’: The ‘Technique Problem’ and the Creation of New Forms in 1930s Revolutionary Dance.” Harris is an associate professor and chair of the School of Education’s Dance Department.

A paper by UW–Madison’s Baron Kelly, a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor in the Department of Theater and Drama, was published in a recent issue of The Harold Pinter Review: Essays on Contemporary Drama. Kelly’s paper reflects on his work on the recent Forward Theater production of Adrienne Kennedy’s play, "Mom, How Did You Meet the Beatles?" in Sept. 2021, as the theater was beginning to transition out of the pandemic.

School of Education alumna Erika Dickerson-Despenza is a recipient of a 2022 Forward Award from the Wisconsin Alumni Foundation. An award-winning poet and playwright, Dickerson-Despenza says she writes with the Black, Queer, feminist lens, calling attention to how communities can organize to liberate Black women and girls around the globe.
