‘Indigenous Perspectives’ exhibition features art by UW–Madison alumni


An important new exhibition at the Memorial Union features a collection of art created by Indigenous UW–Madison alumni, students, and faculty from the School of Education’s Art Department.

Titled “Madison Alumni: A Legacy of Indigenous Perspectives” and curated by John Hitchcock, a professor in the Art Department, the exhibition opened to the public on Feb. 11 and runs through March 21.

The artists who are featured in the exhibition include: George Cramer, Joe Feddersen, Jason Garcia, Karen Goulet, Tom Jones, Monty Little, Truman Lowe, Dakota Mace, Sarah McRae, Rory Wakemup, Wanesia Spry Misquadace, Henry Payer, Alex Pena, Dyani White Hawk, Derick Wycherly, and Valaria Tatera.
