The School of Education’s Latinx Affinity Group and Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI) invites students who identify as Latinx to join them for an event, titled “Stressed? RELEASE IT!” on Friday, Apr. 23, from 4 – 6 p.m.
The goals of the event are to:
- Provide a space and time for Latinx School of Education students (undergraduate, graduate, professional) to meet each other and establish community;
- Validate the experiences of all Latinx students by sharing and discussing experiences around stress as a student at UW–Madison;
- Learn about strategies on how to manage stress, specifically trigger-point release from Mayrena Hernandez (MPH, LAT, ATC), a doctoral candidate in the School of Education’s Department of Kinesiology.
The first 25 registrants will be mailed a Stress Relief Care Package!
Please RSVP through this link to receive further information, including the Zoom link to participate. Submit your registration by Monday, Apr. 19, in order to receive your package in time for the event.
Additionally, please contact Brianna Leitzelar (Latinx Affinity Committee Graduate Co-Chair) at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions regarding the registration process or other event details.
