Kulkarni received the award for a collaborative project titled, “(Re)imagining Teacher Preparation During a Global Pandemic Using Disability-Centered, Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies,” with Amanda Miller of Wayne State University and Emily Nusbaum of Mills College.

The collaborators will partner with disabled community activists of color to provide a virtual professional development experience for teacher candidates using disability-centered, culturally sustaining pedagogies.
