UW–Madison alumni win scholarships to study at acclaimed Pilchuck Glass School

UW–Madison alumni Lauren Aria and Cullen Houser, both graduates of the School of Education’s Art Department, have been awarded Visionary Scholarships from the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG).

Lauren Aria

Aria earned her BFA with a concentration in glass from the Art Department in 2022, while Houser earned his MFA in 2023 with a concentration in printmaking.

AACG’s Visionary Scholarship program is for artists who are making or seeking to make the creation of glass art their full-time career. The scholarship program was created to advance AACG’s mission to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass.

Aria and Houser are both using the AACG scholarship funds to study at the acclaimed Pilchuck Glass School this summer.
