Mallory Umar, a Brazilian American educator who grew up on the south side of Chicago, is graduating with a PhD from the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, with a focus on K-12 leadership. 

UW–Madison’s Welton receives UCEA’s Social and Racial Justice Award

Anjalé (AJ) Welton received the Linda C. Tillman Social and Racial Justice Award from the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA). She is chair of the School of Education’s highly regarded Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, and is the Rupple-Bascom Professor of Education.

Trio of talented ELPA PhD students named UCEA Jackson Scholars

UW–Madison’s Tony DelaRosa, Xinyu Guan, and guy john halcón were each selected as University Council for Educational Administration Jackson Scholars. This two-year program provides formal networking, mentoring and professional development for graduate students of color who intend to become professors of educational leadership.

Burt receives Warrior Award from International Colloquium on Black Males in Education
