The UW–Madison School of Education Wisconsin Teacher Pledge is extended through 2028-29. The program covers tuition and other costs for teacher education students who pledge to teach in Wisconsin. It has already earned commitments from 773 current and future educators.

The UW–Madison School of Education on April 18 announced a major new investment to support Wisconsin educators, with Mary and Ted Kellner giving $7 million toward these efforts. These funds will extend the Teacher Pledge program; invest in the Early Career Teaching Institute; and bolster the Mary T. Kellner Teacher Education Center.
