Madison365, Cap Times report on new Milwaukee Brewers mural by School of Education alumna
School of Education alumna Emily Balsley has collaborated for a second time with the Milwaukee Brewers on art that celebrates baseball and those who love the game.
Madison365 recently reported on a new, 50-foot mural created by Balsley at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. The mural, “Seventh Inning Stretch,” celebrates “the energy and camaraderie of a Brewers game,” Madison365 reported.

The Brewers’ community mural initiative has brought baseball-centric public art to a number of communities across Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Green Bay, Wauwatosa, and West Allis.
The Cap Times also reported on the new mural, connecting with Balsley in the process of creation.
“I’m a lifelong Brewers fan and played softball growing up, so this is a dream client,” Balsley told the Cap Times.
Last year, Balsley, who graduated in 2001 with a degree in graphic design from the School of Education’s Art Department, was one of four Wisconsin artists selected to create a design for the Brewers’ new “T-shirt Tuesdays” promotion.
