UW–Madison’s Li Chiao-Ping has been invited with her performance company to attend the inaugural Ingenium Think Tank/Symposium, “Cultivating a Culture of Creativity in the Workplace,” at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, May 21-23.

Li is the Sally Banes Professor of Dance and a Vilas Research Professor in the School of Education’s Dance Department. She also is the artistic director of Li Chiao-Ping Dance, which she founded in 1991.
On Sunday, May 21, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Li’s company will perform an excerpt from “Here Likes the Truth,” an hour-long multidisciplinary dance work that investigates “truth” as it relates to race, positionality, power, access, and equity. The performance will be followed by a deconstruction discussion around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and creativity.
Li has also been invited to engage in roundtable conversations and discuss her new projects and ideas over the course of the three-day event.
Cosponsored by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, College of Fine Arts and private philanthropists, the “Cultivating a Culture of Creativity in the Workplace” symposium will bring together a community of thinkers and doers in industry and the arts who will be presenting on topics related to this year’s focus on cultivating a culture of creativity.
