Several UW–Madison faculty members from the School of Education’s Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education (RPSE) have been awarded a $16.7 million grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration to support the creation of a new technical assistance center that will work to reduce barriers to employment for people with disabilities.

Researchers with the School of Education's Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education were recently awarded a grant to develop meaningful professional development specifically for rural special education teachers who are emergency certified. Project ACRES is a fully online intervention that will provide participants with greater flexibility and remove barriers associated with travel across long distances for professional learning opportunities.

However, our School of Education students are just as bright, driven, and inspiring as always. Seventeen students shared their thoughts with us on majors, going to college amid COVID-19, what they are excited about this semester, and future plans.
