Excelling both on the field of play and in the classroom, several students pursuing degrees within the School of Education were among the 68 UW–Madison student-athletes competing in winter sports who were named to the 2020-21 Academic All-Big Ten all-conference team.

The work of UW–Madison’s Faisal Abdu’Allah is published in “Under the Southern Stars" from Te Tuhi, one of New Zealand's foremost contemporary art spaces. Abdu’Allah holds UW–Madison’s Chazen Family Distinguished Chair in Art, and is a professor with the School of Education’s Art Department.

UW–Madison's Division of the Arts welcomes Litza Bixler as the spring 2021 Interdisciplinary Artist-in-Residence. Bixler is a choreographer, filmmaker, movement director, visual artist, and writer. She has produced work on stage, screen, galleries, and mountains. Bixler works across the spheres of art, performance, and film, and has been a working artist and educator since 1995.

The work of UW–Madison’s John Hitchcock is featured in a solo exhibition, “Shouting Lightning from Their Eyes,” at the Portrait Society Gallery of Contemporary Art in Milwaukee through Apr. 17. Hitchcock is a professor with the School of Education’s Art Department and is the School’s associate dean for the arts.
