The mini-conference, which will take place virtually on Thursday, March 24, from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. (EST), offers an opportunity to hear leading voices from across the political spectrum talk about how to find common ground for prioritizing students’ right to an education that prepares them to participate effectively in civic and political life.

Hess will speak on a panel that is titled, “Finding Common Ground on the Elements of a High-Quality Civic Education,” at 3 p.m. (EST). The panel will illuminate how we can find common ground to teach, support, and encourage civic readiness in politically polarized times.
