Beth Larson, an associate professor of occupational therapy with the School of Education’s Department of Kinesiology, was recently interviewed for a podcast titled, “A Little Easier.”

Episode 5 of this “podcast for stressed parents” focuses on how emotions flow within families. Larson’s research on parental well-being and 30 years of clinical experience is utilized here to explain “how feelings and family well-being are connected.”
Larson’s research uses mixed methods approaches to examine the impact of managing a child’s disability on the family and the caregiver. Her overarching goal is to investigate how the caregiver’s organization and orchestration of daily activities tailored to the child’s developmental needs promotes or impedes family functioning, and in turn influences the caregiver’s health and well-being.
