UW–Madison’s Field Day Lab, housed in the School of Education’s Wisconsin Center for Education Research, has launched the Vault, a free and growing collection of high-quality educational video games designed for K-12 learners.
Built in the spirit of public media, the Vault learning games library brings together educators, artists, and game designers to provide engaging and research-informed learning experiences. The collection includes games created by Field Day Lab as well as titles from a growing network of developers dedicated to equity, creativity, and deep learning.

The project is part of an ongoing collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, aimed at expanding classroom access to meaningful digital learning tools across the state and beyond.
Each featured game is selected for its creativity, rigor, and classroom usefulness. The Vault is freely available to educators everywhere.
