UW–Madison’s Brett Nachman authored two new papers published in academic journals.

Nachman is a PhD candidate in the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.
The first paper, of which Nachman is first author, is titled “Brief Report: Autism-Specific College Support Programs: Differences Across Geography and Institutional Type,” and it was published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. The paper examines autism-specific college support programs, highlighting inequities based on institutional type and geography, as well as offering a complete list of programs available.
Nachman co-authored the paper with Catherine McDermott and Bradley Cox.
The second paper (on page 35 of the .pdf), which Nachman also co-authored with Bradley Cox, is a practice brief titled,“Five Principles to Improve Quantitative Research and Assessment About College Students with Disabilities.”
It was published in the Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability, and aims to “provide practical guidance for scholars and practitioners looking to develop more rigorous, comprehensive, and inclusive research that could guide proactive efforts to improve access, experiences, and outcomes for college students with disabilities.”
